Apple Announces New Study on Hearing Health
The company that revolutionized the music industry and essentially created the world of podcasting is now checking in on the function of the body they’ve most impacted: hearing. In collaboration with the University of Michigan, Apple is helping users better understand, evaluate and improve their hearing health. Released this week and conducted within the Research app, the Apple Hearing Study found that 10% of participants’ average weekly headphone exposure exceeded the World Health Organization’s recommended limit. Additionally, the study found that 10% of participants have been diagnosed with hearing loss by a professional. Apple products offer a number of helpful resources for users, including the Noise app, Health app and Transparency mode in AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Read more.
