Indiana Fire Department Adds New Fitness Program
Different fitness plans can be tailored to help individuals achieve specific goals and a fire department in Indiana recently implemented a new routine to help improve the health of their firefighters. The curated workout regimen features more functional exercises that include movements similar to those that are used in actual emergency situations. By helping train their firefighters to better perform their duties in action, the department is helping to keep them safer while in the line of duty. Perhaps more importantly, enhanced fitness will protect the firefighters from the leading cause of death among men and women: heart disease.
