New Study Finds Best Fitness Advice for Gymgoers
One or two trips to the gym doesn’t require any great deal of motivation for most people, but turning those trips into a lasting weekly routine can be quite the challenge. Fortunately, researchers are continuing to examine the age-old struggle of building a consistent workout routine. A new ‘megastudy’ examined 600,000 gym goers by testing “53 different tactics to compare how well they work against one another as well as a control group,” according to an article by CNN. The findings led the researchers to conclude that some of the best tactics for building and sustaining an active lifestyle include scheduling workouts, setting up reminders, implementing incentives and discouraging repeated missed workouts.
