New Research Shows How COVID-19 Changed Shopping Habits
The coronavirus pandemic touched every industry over the past year, and many of those changes appear to be indefinite. Amazon searches for hand sanitizer and disinfectant are between 6,000% to 7,000% higher than they were in January 2020, according to new consumer research from Profitero, an Ecommerce analytics platform. Additionally, “Face mask” remained the top-searched term last month. All the time spent at home has apparently left people craving more comfort, as searches related to baking, comfort food and sweatpants are all higher than they were 12 months ago.
