The Best Way to Freeze Healthy Fruits for After Summer

Summer fruits, such as berries, peaches, plums and melons, are one of the best parts of enjoying the summer. The only downside is their short shelf life, so freezing them is a great way to avoid waste. It’s not as simple as just tossing them in the freezer though. In a recent article for MyRecipes Stacey Ballis explained the proper way to prep, store and freeze summer fruits. Besides removing the pits and slicing them up, Ballis recommends storing fruit in vacuum sealed bags or even pureeing them in a blender to help them last longer.
